Bulit in Rod holders on the custom coffin box would be pretty awesome. You would have to do some tweaking to the width and the console cover to allow the rods to go thru. This feature can be seen on a allot of high end boats here in Miami.
The front of the boat is really nice. I cant picture the height of the bloster but on smaller boats that get bounced around allot they have to be at the right height to lean against. sometimes they are designed to look pretty and lose their true purpose. When chasing fish on the bow there is nothing worse that getting banged in the shins or your gut.
Also I feel that the console doesnt have to be as big as it is. Purpose space and design it. People buliding this boat arent going to equip it with dual 14 inch screens; it just needs a wheel and throttle. But then I guess thats what is so awesome about your company is you make it however you want.
I feel like im being harsh but the boat looks really awesome and thats only my grunt opinion,
Marc, Thanks for clearfication
I am located in Petersburg, VA @ 20 Mikes south of Richmond on I-95
It would be few month out but, yes I am going to build one
Until I ran in to your site, I was studying for Kitty hawk 18 by Smith Marine design

engine bracket on boats under 23 ft does not help performance nor efficiency, is this true?
Jae, For most people, the reason to add an engine bracket is not to gain performance or efficiency but to gain some extra room in the boat by pushing the motor back out of it.
We believe that 21 ft is the lower limit as opposed to the 23 ft that you have heard. We believe that it would be possible to gain some advantages with a Porta bracket, namely shallow water capability and more room in the boat on our 19 but we would have to do a weight and balance study to ensure that it would work.
A couple questions back to you?
Where are you located?
Is that a general question you are asking or are you considering building one of our boats?
Hi, I am new to site and probably not know what I'm talking about, This is one of my to do list
after when I finish my shop(just dug the footing today)
However, I was told by few boat building peoples(may be 2 or 3)
engine bracket on boats under 23 ft does not help performance nor efficiency, is this turu?
To me 19 footer is perfect size for me and my fife
So, I always thought I'll get something like a Porta bracket.
I think, It'll look very sharp and very functional in shallow water.
If doesn't make sense please, disregard
We spoke on Monday evening, morning for me! You were right, I didn't get to sleep till 3:30am once I was logged into the forum! This boat looks awesome. Is it off the drawing board yet? It would be a great project for me and covers most of the points that we discussed. What size engine would you consider for this? What would be the draught? Is that 19ft LOA or waterline length?
